It’s official, we have a premiere date for Doctor Who’s final two specials, Doctor Who: The End of Time.

Part One will premiere on Saturday, December 26, 2009 on BBC America, and the premiere date for Part Two should be announced very soon as well.

This will be the last Doctor Who episodes starring David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor. He will then be replaced by Matt Smith who will become the Eleventh Doctor in the new season slated to premiere in 2010.

Doctor Who: The End of Time will also bring back a favorite of mine: The Master. I personally can’t wait to see John Simm back as The Master. And if the last episode featuring The Master is anything to go by, we should expect this one is going to be epic!

DOCTOR WHO FINAL TWO SPECIALS BEGIN DECEMBER 26 ON BBC AMERICA

The finale to the era of David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor, is one of the most eagerly anticipated adventures in the history of Doctor Who. As previously announced, the next special, Doctor Who: The Waters of Mars premieres Saturday December 19, 9:00pm ET/PT on BBC AMERICA. The final two specials, Doctor Who: The End of Time, Part One and Doctor Who: The End of Time, Part Two, will premiere over the holiday season starting December 26 on BBC AMERICA. Guest stars John Simm, Timothy Dalton, Catherine Tate, Lindsay Duncan and Bernard Cribbins join Tennant on his final journey.Doctor Who: The End of Time, Part One premieres Saturday December 26, 9:00pm ET/PT on BBC AMERICA. The End of Time, Part Two premiere date will be announced very soon.

The BBC will release The Waters of Mars and The End of Time, Part One and Part Two on DVD and Blu-ray, Tuesday, February 2, 2010. A 5-disc set, Doctor Who: Specials Collection, which includes The Next Doctor, Planet of the Dead, Waters of Mars, The End of Time, Part One and Part Two and a 16-page booklet with an introduction written by David Tennant, hits stores the same day.

Doctor Who – Season 5 Info

The first look for Matt Smith’s Eleventh Doctor Who is a long way from the tweed and bow tie we were introduced to in July, if recent snaps from location shooting in South Wales are anything to go by.

SFX have feature a small selection of images of the new Doctor on location, kitted out in what appears to be the last wardrobe change of the Tenth Doctor.

Faded Converse, pinstriped trousers, blue shirt and swirly blue tie – all torn and singed, suggesting that the recent regeneration has been a close call.

That’s an interesting expression on his face too – I wonder that the Doctor is thinking…?

It certainly seems as though the current production block features the first episode of the Eleventh Doctor’s run, with Smith appearing alongside a Karen Gillan kitted out in a rather fetching interpretation of a policewoman’s outfit.

Of course, the real question is how do the two of them get thrown together? We’ll have to wait until 2010 to find out…

Doctor Who – Behind The Scene Pics and Rumors

The gang are now four episodes into filming of the thirteen episode series, which airs on BBC One from next Spring. This latest episode was being filmed this week at Neath Abbey, a former Cistercian monastery dating back to the 12th Century. Rather appropriately, monks sporting brown robes were spotted on set, while rather more dubious rumors suggested that Billie Piper was also around to shoot some secret scenes.

Doctor Who – Season 5 Enemy Spoiler

The Daleks are back…. again.

The Doctor’s most persistent of nemeses will be back in an episode of the upcoming fifth series, penned by Mark ‘Lazarus’ Gatiss.

The story – airing as episode two or three of the new run – sees The Doctor and companion Amy Pond arrive in London in World War II.

According to reports, the pair then come face to face with Prime Minister Winston Churchill and discover that he is using an army of Daleks in the fight against the Nazis.

The metal monsters have apparently been painted with green battle colors and equipped with Union Jack flags on their helmets.

The Daleks were last seen in the series four finale as part of creator Davros’s ultimately foiled plan to destroy all of creation.
